§ 00 · The Doctrine
It's 6:45 in the evening. The last patient left an hour ago, and you're still at the desk, reconstructing the day from memory — because the notes you write tonight are the ones that must defend you in three years, when a letter arrives about a patient you can no longer picture.
Every dentist who has tried an AI scribe knows the other fear: it writes fluently, and sometimes it writes things that never happened. In a clinical record, one invented sentence is worse than an evening of typing.
So we built the engine backwards. Thirty minutes a day is 125 hours a year — three working weeks — but they are only worth reclaiming if every reclaimed note is one you'd stake your registration on.
Guided forms mirror how you examine — chips for findings, grades, risks discussed, decisions made. Seconds per entry, while the patient is still in the chair.
Your ticks become a contract. Only items on that list may appear in the note. Risks you didn't discuss cannot be "helpfully" added. Findings you didn't record do not exist.

RADIOGRAPHS: Bitewings taken — UR6 mesial lesion confirmed, extending to the enamel-dentine junction only. No periapical pathology. Bone levels within normal limits.
DIAGNOSIS:
DISCUSSION: Findings discussed with the patient in plain language. Caries and erosion risk explained in the context of the newly diagnosed reflux.
TREATMENT OPTIONS DISCUSSED:
Patient opted for the preventive approach pending reflux management with GP.
ADVICE GIVEN: Dietary acid counselling provided. Advised not to brush immediately after reflux episodes. Interdental cleaning demonstrated for LR6–LR7. Duraphat 5000ppm prescribed for home use.

No. Dental Copilot does not store patient-identifiable health data. Clinical input is processed in memory only and is not persisted after the response is generated. Our server automatically strips common PII patterns (NHS numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, etc.) from all AI output as an additional safeguard.

The whitelist. Risk discussions, findings, and management items only enter the note if you ticked them — the AI is explicitly forbidden from adding, expanding, or "completing" clinical content from its own knowledge. Where you leave something silent, the note stays silent.
